In this encyclopedic work Claude Reynaud examines the origins of the cycle through 500 historic, social and technical subjects. What makes the work original is that the author gives the proofs, or indicates the lack of proof for each and every subject which he examines.
This book is in French, but the content and particularly the illustrations make it a « must-have » book for the library of all serious cycle historians.
480 pages, 400 full-colour photos. Format : Paperback bound. 26 x 22cm.
Special Collector's Edition: 110 copies only numbered and signed by the author.
Price : €110
At first, this luxury edition (480 pages, full-colour photos, 2 kilos) was planned to be released in two volumes of 240 pages each (just like "Le Vélocipède Illustré" for those who know it).
For some reasons, Claude Reynaud gathered the two volumes into a single one. As you may know, passion is the only motivation that makes him deepen his researches and write books. These books are rare as only a hundred copies are published and sold at a loss.
