Art and Cycles
Can cycles be considered as pieces of art ? After the visit the answer will the same as for the motorbikes : Yes !
Displayed in 7 rooms of the castle, the cycles from Claude Reynaud's collection have been picked on the esthetical criteria but also for their history and rarity.
Once you've seen the « Charles X » draisienne, the Horse draisienne classified as Historic Monument by the Culture Ministry in 2010 (the only two-wheelers classified in France!), the extraordinary carved velocipede which belonged to Yves Montand, or even a Springfield grand bi, you will find out that constructors – we'll call them artists – used always more ingenuity, inventiveness and inspiration to create real pieces of art.
